BRAYDEN STONECIPHER HEADSHOT

About Me...

Brayden Stonecipher began to study the Guitar at the age of 12 and quickly fell in love with the natural beauty of the instrument. At the age of 16 he began to play Classical Guitar and was invited to attend the Los Romeros Guitar Institute at Oklahoma City University. At the age of 18, he began his formal studies at Oklahoma City University in Classical Guitar Performance. During his time at OKCU Brayden performed in the Madrid Chamber Arts Festival as both a soloist and ensemble member at venues such as The Ateneo de Madrid and the Museo de America. Brayden has also performed in masterclasses with artists Lazhar Cherouana, William Kannengeiser, Silviu Ciulei, and Los Romeros Guitar Quartet.

After finishing his undergraduate degree, Brayden returned to OKCU for his Master’s where he studied with Dr. Stephen Lochbaum. He also served as one of the Modern Band Directors for El Sistema Oklahoma.

Currently, Brayden is a DMA student at the University of North Texas, where he studies with Thomas Johnson and Arash Noori. He is also a member of the Baroque Orchestra, and has a deep interest in early plucked instruments.
