About Me...

This is Mrs. Quin’s 25th year of performing Violin, 10th year as an Orchestra Director, and 15th year as a private teacher. Mrs. Quin received her Bachelors in Music Education with a String Emphasis from Hardin-Simmons University, under the study of Dr. Peter Isaacson. She enjoyed performing fiddle music during her time in Abilene, and continued incorporating this style of music to her students, and in her string studio. Mrs. Quin had the opportunity to perform with a country band, Kansas, and Michael Martin Murphy in college, an unforgettable experience that has shaped her today.  Mrs. Quin began Violin at the age of 10 years old, and began her studies in a Suzuki Studio. She is currently earning her Suzuki registration for Units 1-4, and enjoys spending time revisiting her Suzuki solos from a young age. Mrs. Quin is the Assistant Orchestra director at Rogers Middle School, where she teaches during the school year.

Preferred Curriculum

Emily’s ensembles have continuously earned Superior ratings at UIL as well as Superior ratings at contest performances. She performs her Violin in church services, Christmas gatherings, and for her family and children as well. Mrs. Quin has studied Viola, Cello, and Bass for 10 years, and currently teaches all four stringed instruments to 6th through 8th graders in Prosper ISD.

In her spare time, Mrs. Quin enjoys being with her husband of 10 years, Travis and her two daughters, Ava and Gracie. They love traveling, camping, and going on adventures with their dog roxy. Mrs. Quin and her family attend Prestonwood Baptist Church, where her husband teaches bible at the Christian academy. Mrs. Quin is an avid reader, and loves all things book related and music related, plus enjoys the time she is able to play, learn, and love music with her girls.
