Frequently Asked Questions about our Homeschool Music Academy

Our HMA Group Classes are offered at a flat rate of $100 per month per class. This fee is consistent regardless of attendance and is not prorated for missed sessions.

In addition to the monthly rate, there is a one-time $10 registration fee per class, which will appear on your initial invoice.
Please note that the curriculum fee is billed separately, with an average cost of $15 per term. This fee is assigned by your instructor at the beginning of the session.

We also offer a 10% discount on additional group classes and private lessons, so if you choose to enroll in multiple classes or add private lessons, you’ll receive a discount to help you save.

HMA students are invited and encouraged to participate in our Studio Recitals. These recitals are optional but offer a great opportunity for students to showcase their progress. Recital Fees are typically $45 per student to help cover venue, staffing, and production costs. You can learn more about our recitals here.

We expect consistent weekly attendance for all participants in the HMA Group Classes. As our classes are designed for group learning, we do not offer make-up classes for missed sessions. To ensure the best learning experience, regular attendance is encouraged.

If you ever need to miss a class, we recommend staying in communication with your instructor for any specific assignments or materials that may have been covered.

All participating families are encouraged to review our HMA Group Class Policies & Procedures, which are designed to ensure a smooth and positive experience for everyone involved. You can view the full set of policies here.

At Texas Amps & Axes, our teachers are passionate educators who are highly skilled and experienced in teaching, performing, or both. Many of our instructors hold music degrees or have professional music industry experience.

We understand that every student has unique learning needs, so we take extra care in matching your child with a teacher who suits their learning style, goals, and personality.
To help you choose the best fit, you can view our teacher bios here.

If you need guidance in selecting the right teacher, don’t hesitate to contact us—we’re happy to discuss your student’s learning preferences and help you curate a list of ideal instructors.

Our Homeschool Music Academy (HMA) runs Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM at our Prosper Campus.

After 3:00 PM, we transition to our regular studio hours, which are 3:30 PM – 8:30 PM (Monday – Thursday), 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM (Friday), and 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Saturday).

The HMA is currently hosted only at our Prosper Campus, but we’re excited to expand to our Celina Campus soon.

Our Scheduling Team works closely with families to ensure we find the best fit for your student’s schedule. You can also view your schedule or request changes at any time through our Studio Portal, Opus1.io.
