We’re excited to welcome Olivia Freier to our teaching team as a flute instructor!
Olivia is a senior flutist attending Walnut Grove High School where she is the principal flutist in the school’s Wind Symphony. She has been a consistent finalist in the Prosper ISD Concerto Competition since 2022 and was awarded 2nd place in 2025. In 2023, she received both The Mark of Excellence National Wind Band Honors ‘Outstanding Soloist’ award and the Dallas Winds Invitational Windband Festival ‘Recognized Soloist’ award.
Olivia has annually made All-Region and Area bands throughout middle and high school. From 2024-2025, she was a member of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra (GDYO) Flute Choir. Since 2025, she has been an active member of the GDYO Philharmonic.
Ms. Olivia is an accomplished flutist with more than 8 years of performance and training experience under TA&A Lead Instructor Mr. Mike. She teaches beginning and intermediate Middle & High School flute students and brings a warm, encouraging, and highly relatable approach to lessons.
As part of TA&A’s Teacher Mentorship Program, Olivia continues to work closely with Mr. Mike, who serves as her Teacher Mentor and provides ongoing guidance in curriculum, lesson planning, and student development.
Students get the best of both worlds: an enthusiastic young instructor they can connect with, backed by the experience and support of one of TA&A’s Lead Teachers.
