From the concert halls of Beijing to the stages of Carnegie Hall, Mr. Yu Xie brings world-class performance experience and a heart for teaching to every lesson. Originally from Jiangsu, China, Yu’s own musical journey began at age 7 when a single summer concert changed everything—and now he shares that same spark with his students.
Yu is not only a passionate performer (with appearances across China, Singapore, the U.S., and Austria), he’s also a flexible and thoughtful educator who believes that every student’s path to learning violin should be as unique as they are. A prize-winning musician and dedicated performer, Mr. Yu holds degrees from top conservatories including Temple University, Lynn University, and Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of North Texas, continuing to grow as both a performer and a teacher.
At Texas Amps & Axes, we are thrilled to welcome Mr. Yu to our studio family—where he brings not just impressive credentials, but also a deep passion for helping students grow into confident, expressive musicians. His calm demeanor, global experience, and adaptable teaching style make him a favorite among both beginning and advanced violinists.
